Day Trips
All day trips are conducted in an air-conditioned vehicle, and your expert guide is equipped with spotting scope, bird and natural history library and bird sound equipment. Day trips involve an early pick up from Hotel/residence in the Johannesburg/Pretoria areas, a picnic lunch and transfer back to hotel/residence at 17:00-18:00 pm. The price for scheduled day trips depend on the number of participants. Specific itineraries for day trips are adapted closer to the time to take account of current birding conditions, and these may be available - click the link next to each specified day trip to request an itinerary and price for a specific date. Trips are however themed in advance to indicate the focus.

- January 29 (Thursday) Seringveld and Zaagkuildrift ENQUIRE
- January 31 (Saturday) Rallids, Quails and Migrant Warblers. Fully booked
- February 4 (Wednesday) North-eastern Mpumalanga - Ezemvelo NR and Elandsvlei, Larks, pipits, Francolins and Bustards. ENQUIRE
- February 25 (Wednesday) Southern Highveld and Wetlands - Search for Rock Pipit, Grey-winged, Redwinged and Orange River Francolin and Ground Woodpecker as well as wetland birding.
