l3. MGUNGUNDLOVU MUSEUM GROUNDS (AMAFU)

From the Upata Ranches turn-off, continue towards Vryheid on the R66. After three kilometers you will reach Phokwe Bridge. Stop and look for Cardinal Woodpecker, Dusky Flycatcher and a variety of Swallows. Continue along the R66 for a further 200 meters and turn left to the museum. This is a good spot for seeing Arrow-marked Babbler, Grey-headed Bush Shrike, Bokmakierie, Black-bellied Korhaan, Tawny Eagle and many other thornveld birds.
