Well 1999 was certainly a bumper year for Birding Big Day in the Pretoria Area. It proves that this is a fine birding area indeed! But how many species are possible in the area? Etienne Marais combined all the records from three of the Pretoria Teams that traversed the area north-east of Pretoria. Wow! 312 species in total.
