Starting from 16 August, we are offering several pre-summit tours. These range in length from an 8-9 day Eastern South Africa Sampler, to a two-day Gauteng sampler.

• The Eastern South Africa Twitchers tour is a 9 day whistle-stop tour, which takes in Wakkerstroom, Mkusi, the north-west thornveld, Magoebaskloof and the Northern Kruger Park.
• If you are interested in mammals too, the birds and mammals tour (seven days) takes in some excellent mammal viewing routes, including Borakolalo National Park and the Central Kruger Park, as well as a good diversity of highveld and woodland birding.

• The four day birding sampler covers a variety of habitats within 150km of Johannesburg, including the north-west Bushveld, Suikerbosrand, Marievale and the Seringveld conservancy. This tour is expected to produce at least 230 species in August.
