The remarkable Bokmakierie is endemic to the Southern African region, and is found on broken ground in the cooler parts of the country. It has adapted to the urban environment, and is a common garden bird in many towns and cities. The Bokmakierie has a wide range of ringing duets. ©Andy Swash 1998
