Indicator Birding - Weekend Events

Exciting and innovative birding weekends - are held on a regular basis. Our Birding weekends are themed around particularly fascinating or difficult "groups" of birds or specific birding challenges. Regular birding weekend events that have been ongoing for several years include:

• LBJ (Little Brown Jobs) "Field Course" is a hands-on, highly interacrive way to learn about LBJ's face to face.
• Warbler Weekends are held at an optimum time to get up close and personaly with both palearctic and migratory warblers.
• Identification of Birds of Prey (Raptors) - combines classroom lectures, interactive learning games and field outings.
• Wader Weekend - also a combination of field events and Identification of Birds of Prey (Raptors) - combines classroom lectures, interactive learning games and field outings.

9 - 11 February 2018 "Bird-Sounds in the Bushveld"   - a unique Weekend Experience This is a weekend "field-course" focused on the wonderful world of Bird Sound. This unique birding event is a mix of bird-sound course and bird-sound experience….and the venue (Loodswaai Game Lodge) provides plenty of wonderful birds to listen to. We will focus on helping participants, understand, better appreciate and even learn a variety of Southern African bird-calls. . . . . . more.
