Birding in and around Pretoria/Johannesburg

To the north and west of Pretoria, the Magaliesburg range - running east-west is natural boundary between the highveld to the south and the bushveld to the north. The bushveld varies from scrubby dry acacia (thornveld) to broadleaved woodlands, best represented at Borakolalo and in the Seringveld north-east of Pretoria.
