Korhaans and Bustards weekend. 6-8 October, 2006

Based in the North-eastern corner of Gauteng, with a visit to the far eastern edge of the 100km birding region (100km from Johannesburg), this weekend will focus on seeing all five species of Korhaans and Bustards which occur in the region.

There will be a special emphasis on the more difficult to see Korhaans, particularly White-bellied (Barrow's) Korhaan, and we will see plenty of other birds including the possibility of Blue Crane, Orange-river Francolin, Melodious Lark, and even African Finfoot and Buff-streaked Chat.

More information will appear on the web-site soon. Please send us an e-mail if you are interested in participating.
