Summary

This short birding tour aims to present a comprehensive cross-section of South African birding, while staying within the restrictions of modest driving distances and accounting for the fact that this trip takes place in the winter months. The tour samples a variety of the habitat types in Eastern South Africa, including arid "north-west" woodland, highveld grassland, afro-montane forest and lowland savannah and woodland.

Expectations are 270+ species with over 60 regional endemics/near-endemics.
